Our travertine surfaces have been already treated and sealed to increase the resistance to liquids. However, due to the nature of the stone, travertine is naturally porous, there are still some important measures to take to keep it clean and looking good. Here are some tips:

• Use a handy, small, dense hair brush or a feather duster to sweep dust off the smooth surface. A handheld vacuum cleaner with a brush head will be a good alternative.
• To wipe off spills, use a micro fiber rug, soak with warm water, wipe off, and leave dry. For oil-based spills, you may use a gentle, high-quality neutral cleaner, preferably safe for natural stone.
